Still chained to the drawing board...

by Olivier Dunrea on 02/09/11

It's been a while since I've posted anything here in the blog.  I'm still chained to the drawing board finishing the artwork for the three remaining picture book contracts!

GIDEON and GIDEON & OTTO will be published this fall (the newest gosling to be added to Gossie & Friends).  And A CHRISTMAS TREE FOR PYN will also be published.

Houghton has informed me that their marketing/design team will be posting a new website for Gossie & Friends: www.gossieandfriends.com.  The website isn't up yet, but it will be in a few weeks.

Olivier, I just found your blog and wanted to let you know how your visit to my school (East Ward Elementary in Downingtown, PA) when I was in fourth grade (eighteen years ago!) impacted me forever. :) I still have my signed copy of Ravena! And now that I'm a nanny to toddlers I absolutely love pulling out Gossie and Co. to read to them (and they love it too! :) Best of all, I am now a student in the Writing for Children and Young Adults program at Vermont College of Fine Arts, pursuing my own love of writing for kids. So thank you for touching my life so long ago... meeting you was the first time I really understood that real people write books!

Olivier, I just found A Christmas Tree for Pyn on my library's new book email a couple of weeks back. Thank you for writing that story, the story itself is beautiful as well as the illustrations. My 6 year old was as glued to the story as I was. Adding it to my top list of favorites, I just adore it!
